What Is Digital Dentistry?
Digital dentistry is a broad term encompassing any dental technology that involves the use of computer-based components such as hardware devices and software solutions. The purpose is to enable your dentist to deliver treatment with the help of computer-aided tools. Dynamic Dental Studio now has an intra oral digital scanner enabling your dentists to take impressions, perform diagnostics or plan treatment without the use of mechanical tools, these significantly speed up the process of creating dental products.
How Does An Intraoral Scanner Work?
Thousands of images are captured by imaging sensors when the handheld, pen-like scanner is placed inside your mouth, and a light source projected onto the area you wish to scan.
Those images are processed by scanning software, which then generates an accurate 3D surface model showing the teeth and gingiva’s geometry. This 3D model is displayed on your dentists PC screen, and you can see it being generated as you are scanning.

Our digital intra oral scanner gives your dentist a realistic 3D image of your dentition on a computer screen and allows your dentist to see even the smallest problems and defects of teeth, and other parts of the cavity, that cannot be noticed with the naked eye. It also takes a digital impression of your teeth eliminating the need to take conventional impressions, making our treatment much less unpleasant.
Digital Active Aligner treatment
In digital orthodontics (Active Aligners), 3D computer visualisation helps to create a detailed model of the teeth and bites from different angles and choose the best positions.
Digital impressions in Active Aligner treatments also have benefits for patients since it is no longer needed to experience the unpleasant gooey materials and spend hours in a dental chair.
